Visiting Hours
Rest is an important part of the patients treatment and a limited number of visitors is part of the treatment provided at URMC. Patient’s guests are welcome and we know the pleasure that comes from a reasonable number of brief and friendly visits. In order for patients to receive the proper care and treatment, please ask friends and family to observe the visiting guidelines.
General Visiting Hours:
9:00 AM until 8:30 PM
Intensive Care Hours:
10:00 AM until 10:00 PM
Visitors will be permitted 10 minutes, Every two hours on the even hours.
Special Care Hours:
11:00 AM until 12:00 Noon
2:00 PM until 3:00 PM
7:00 PM until 8:30 PM
Maternity Hours:
Because of our Mother/Baby policy, healthy infants are in the Mother’s rooms. Visitors please check with the nurse’s station to ensure that the visit is timely. Siblings must be at least two years old; No recent exposure to colds or any contagious disease.
Labor and Delivery:
One visitor per patient at a time. No more than two people for duration of labor.
Pediatric Hours:
One family member is required to stay during the child’s hospitalization.
Please - we suggest:
- Only two visitors per patient at one time
- Do not sit on Patient’s bed
- Children are not to be left unattended in the hospital lobby
- No children under age 12 allowed to visit on patient floors (This is for patient’s protection).
Quiet is essential in the hospital. Visitors are asked to speak quietly; avoid unnecessary noise and gathering in hallway.
