About The Auxiliary
If you’re looking for satisfying, important volunteer activity, consider the Auxiliary at URMC.
Active members of the Auxiliary are involved in hospital volunteer work which may bring them in contact with patients in a helping capacity, as clerks in the Auxiliary Gift Shop and as assistants with various administrative duties.
All profits from sales in the Gift Shop and from various fund raising activities are used to fund nursing scholarships and to purchase life-saving and diagnostic equipment for the hospital.
All volunteers are required to attend an annual orientation, have skin tests for TB, purchase and wear a prescribed uniform while on duty and comply with procedures and rules governing this program.

In addition to Active membership, the Auxiliary also offers Contributing and Life memberships which carry no activity requirements

To apply for membership in the Auxiliary, you may pick up an application at the front desk of URMC. You may also call 706-647-8111, extension 1344, and an application will be mailed to you. References are required.
